Fearless and Unleashed Podcast Launch

I can’t believe I’m writing this!!!

It’s OFFICIAL friends, I have launched my 🎤 Podcast FEARLESS and UNLEASHED and I can not be any more excited to share it with the world.

A couple of years ago as I was brainstorming how else I could be of service to women needing support through their wellness journey and personal development journey, a thought came that said “Start a Podcast.”

I laughed it off, because get REAL, I know nothing about starting a Podcast let alone recording one, but it sat in my heart and during these hard times our world is in and 6 1/2 years into Coaching, I had a huge calling to go ahead and do it and focus it around women getting through their fears and unleashing who they really are and going after their goals and create their best life.

I’ve learned that we can either hold ourselves back or we can be our biggest cheerleaders to reaching success in anything we do and I also know you don’t need all the answers or to be perfect at something when you’re willing to show up and do the work.

I truly believe our MINDSET controls EVERYTHING in how we go about our days and the choices and decisions we make.  I’ve done years of work on myself to know the importance of building a strong mindset and not letting our own thoughts and limiting beliefs to get in our way.

I am excited to share tips and tools that you can apply to your life to get out of your own way and reach those goals you set out to reach.

I’m excited to be your virtual BFF that will tell you how it is with love, help you reach your goals and live your life fearlessly!

Head over to iTunes or Spotify to listen and I’d appreciate it if you could leave a review and subscribe to the show so you’re in the know of when my episodes drop.  This is going to be an incredible journey and I can't wait to celebrate your success as you go after those goals girl.

2020 Insanity!

Hey Friends!

There is no other time better than NOW to get back to blogging right? 😂

Okay no, but seriously... I've been hanging out over on my social (follow the fun) sharing all the things to help my community of ladies live their best life and I thought "Now is the best time to get back to blogging" because let's be real, there's only so much you can say or share in a 15 second clip or limited character post on IG stories and feed and this girl has LOTS to say and a passion for changing lives! 😂

How's 2020 going?

🤯 Insane you answered?

Yes!  Same here!  Never in a million years would I have guessed that we would be living in a time where we'd be QUARANTINED, social distancing from everyone including our loved ones, missing work, seeing all the chaos going on in the world and now... getting ready to home school your kids for the first time!  Lord Jesus, send help! 😬

During this entire process I have again realized that the choice I made 6 years to start my career in Coaching while focusing on my health has been the best decision I've ever made.

Now more than ever the tools, training, personal development and community is impacting my life for the better.

When things get crazy it's these tools and community that has helped me soar when life gets crazy and I want to pay that forward to many others that need that support in their own lives.  Also, can we just have some fun!

2020 is bringing it guys, but we are strong and we will get through this.

In the mean time, now is a great time to implement those plans you had to create that life you want so it's time to get to work, get out of your own way and come out of this pandemic better than you entered it.

I know for sure that's my main goal right now!  I'll be using this blog to share many things from all areas of life and hope you find it helpful, informative and FUN!

Tell me, what would you like to see here?  Comment below or hit me up on my Instagram or Email.

It's Less Complicated Than We Make It

goals, meal plans, exercise, home workouts, coach, support, motivation, nutrition,
Even after almost 4 years of being a Coach, I sometimes ask myself if I would have reached this level of fitness and consistent commitment to my health goals if I didn't have a home solution to my workouts and nutrition. And I know if I had to get dressed, drive to a gym, and play that waiting game for a machine that I would not have learned or reached (actually exceeded) my goals. Our mission is to help people learn that they can be as healthy as they want and as fit as they want ALL AT HOME.

It's not about crazy diets = it's about learning about food and what foods go well with your body because we are all different.

It's not about spending hours working out = it's about moving your body and helping it achieve things you may not think is possible in 30 minutes a day.

It's not about a "look" or being "skinny" = it' about feeling that amazing feeling that you get when you are healthy. It's about being confident in your own skin and having energy to run around with your kids. About LIVING life to the fullest and enjoying every minute because tomorrow is never promised!

Yes there are days when I too don't feel like working out, but when my "gym" is my home, the excuse to skip it is just not there. Day by day, choice by choice, showing up for yourself becomes a habit and you start seeing change in your body but also in your mindset.

My next online health and fitness group is starting Oct 16th.  We will be prepping the week before to get our homes, our minds and our bodies ready for Day 1 of starting to learn healthier habits.  If you're needing help, some accountability, support and a step by step system that's easy to understand and sustain right from home, then this is the group for you.  Message me to RSVP your spot and let's reach your goals together.

BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza

flatbread pizza, healthy recipe, BBQ, chicken, weight loss, clean eating,

Let's talk about Pizza for a little bit.  It's DELICIOUS.  I don't think I know anyone (besides my youngest daughter which at 3 years old hated, but that's changed now that she's a bit older) who doesn't LOVE a good pizza.

As you embark on a healthier journey to better your nutrition or lose some weight you think about all the good things you'll need to give up, right?

Well, one thing I knew about myself was that I needed BALANCE in my journey.  Yes, feeding myself good healthy food is important, but I'm not perfect and don't want to be.  I also want to enjoy certain foods and not feel guilty after eating them.

That's exactly what I've figured out in the last couple years of my journey.  BALANCE.  For me this means eating clean 80% of the time and indulging a bit.

It also means that I spend time trying new things and trying healthier versions of the foods I love.  Pizza is one of them.

This recipe is definitely one you should give a shot.  You will love it and your family will too and it's healthier than most pizza's you'll order for delivery.

Serves: 4 servings, 1/2 flatbread each

Ingredients:

  • 2 whole wheat flatbreads (or 6½-inch whole wheat pitas)
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce, reduced-sugar
  • 1½ cups shredded cooked chicken breast
  • ½ cup canned black beans, drained, rinsed
  • ½ cup corn kernels
  • ½ medium red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  1. Place flatbreads on a large baking sheet.
  1. Spread barbecue sauce evenly on flatbreads.
  1. Top flatbreads evenly with chicken, black beans, corn, onion, and cheese.
  1. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  1. Top evenly with cilantro and drizzle with lime juice. Serve immediately.

Recipe tip:

Look for a barbecue sauce that has an ingredient list that does not contain artificial sweeteners, additives, or preservatives. There are many brands on the market that are sweetened with small amounts of honey, maple syrup, or molasses.

Chipotle Orange Glazed Pork Chops

pork chops, healthy recipe, weight loss, beachbody, lunch, dinner, coach, fitness, clean eating,

One of the things I love most about my health and fitness journey is that our meal plans are REALISTIC. No quick fix "eat salads all day" and hate life to reach your goals! LOL That would never work for me, trust me I've tried.  I spent years of my life buying "diet" books, healthy recipe books just to try it a few days and feel completely deprived.  My journey with Beachbody has taught me how to fuel my body with the right foods.  I've learned how to have balance in my life, because I do not eat clean 100% of the time.  I do try to eat clean 80-90% and I enjoy other treats here and there.  I needed balance not a quick fix and that's what gets results.

Here is a yummy recipe you can try for lunch or dinner.  It's great for the family too. Only because they may not be joining you in your "weight loss" or "fitness journey" doesn't mean that your husband/wife and kids can't eat healthy too.  Let me know if you try it and how you liked it.

Chipotle Orange Glazed Pork Chops:

Ingredients:

* 2 tablespoons maple syrup
* 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
* 1 teaspoon finely chopped seeded chipotle with 1/2 teaspoon adobo
* 4 (3/4-inch thick) center cut pork loin chops (about 8 ounces each)*
* 1/2 teaspoons sea salt or Himalayan salt.

Directions:

1. In a small bowl combine the maple syrup, orange juice concentrate and chipotle.
2. Preheat grill pan. Sprinkle both sides of the chops with salt. Brush 1 side of chops generously with glaze. Place on grill panglaze side down. Brush other side with glaze. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side over medium-high heat

Enjoy!
